This section contains short reports of recent excavations. Most were conducted on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, while the rest were supported by different academic institutions. The reports are listed and arranged according to a geographic key. Each site appears as a sub-item, to which more information can be added (e.g., reports of additional excavations, reports on special artifacts found at the site, and related articles).

This section aims to update the public on the intensive archaeological activities in the country, mainly excavations that often occur at unknown sites and research. The articles presented here are not scientific reports, but rather informal notes on the work done. Many of the Hebrew articles are accompanied by English summaries, and vice versa. We hope that in time, all translations will be completed.

Many of the reports here have already been presented elsewhere, e.g., at archaeological conferences, such as the annual conference of recent research on the Galilee, organized and sponsored by the Northern Region of the IAA, or at archaeological meetings that are periodically held at the President’s residence in Jerusalem. Articles previously published  are presented here in an electronic format, with references to their former publication.

Two search mechanisms are available––by keyword or by an interactive map, where each site in the list is marked as a point .
