1. What are the additional costs I need to take into account?
Your flight ticket, personal medical insurance, personal items, free time activities and food. Former participants have spent about $12-15 for each day on the program.
2. Are there computer stations for the usage of the participants?
There are computers in the ICC building during the day and additional ones at the Western Galilee College library that can be used freely on weekday evenings. We do recommend bringing your own laptop.
3. Is the ICC close to the accommodations?
The ICC is in Old Acre and the accommodations are in the new city (Akko). It is about 20 minute walk, a 10 minute bicycle ride and a 5 minute drive. There is organized transportation from the accommodation to all the activities.
4. Who are the people that participate in the program?
Post college or university participants from all over the world. We have had participants from Italy, Poland, England, Russia, Portugal, Mexico, Argentine and the USA.
5. What will the program enable me to do?
This is a career development program that gives you basic training in conservation and historic preservation. Some of our former participants have been offered jobs in the Israel Antiquities Authority. The work experience could assist you to get into Grad School
