Six Byzantine assemblages were recovered from the seabed in the northern Carmel coast region between Haifa and Megadim. The assemblages are of type C2, and they consist of artifacts that were scattered at water depths of 2.5-4 m. Some 100-150 m offshore, finds included mainly iron anchors, bronze coins, bronze and lead artifacts and bronze nails. Two more Byzantine assemblages of similar nature were recorded off the Ashqelon coast.
