The museum building built by the Baron De Rothschild in 1891, once functioned as a glass-works factory.   The museum displays artifacts recovered from Tel Dor and from the sea. The large assortment of anchors, jars, weapons and remnants of navigational instruments attest to the range of activities in the anchorage of Dor from the Middle Bronze Age onward, including the retreat of Napoleon’s army in 1799.
