1983-1988 Director of the underwater survey of the ancient harbors & anchorages: Yavneh-Yam, Tel-Ridan, Atlit and Acre.

1982-83 Director of the excavation of the Bronze-Age shipwreck with copper and tin cargo from Kfar Samir.

1983-89 Director of the excavation of the Hellenistic shipwreck from Megadim.

1983-89 Director of the excavation of the Mameluk shipwreck from Megadim.

1983-84 Director of the Archaeological museum at Kibbutz Sasa.

1983-88 Director of the Underwater Rescue Survey of the Mediterranean coasts, University of Haifa.

Job description includes the following: Country-wide inspection and enforcement of the Antiquities laws; Prevention of illegal treasure hunting of marine antiquities; Year-round underwater rescue surveys and excavations; Formulation of procedures and regulations to ensure proper management of the underwater archaeological heritage and marine archaeological activities; Mapping underwater archeological sites to form a national data base; Declaring chosen underwater archaeological sites as national preservations; Participation in the preparation of state-wide development programs of Israel’s coast and territorial waters; Surveying and excavating areas intended for coastal development, supervision of construction projects to prevent damage to antiquities; Research and publication of antiquities found during surveys, inspection and excavations; Educational activities include: writing film scripts and producing documentary films on the protection of Israel's underwater antiquities.

1995 Participated in the preparation of the State master plan for the Mediterranean coasts of Israel (TAMA 13/c).

1998 Participated in the preparation of the policy document for the coastal waters of Israel for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Israel.

1998-99 Participated on behalf of Israel in the preparation of the UNESCO Convention for the protection of underwater heritage in international waters.

1998-99 Directed the search project for the missing "Mosquito" plane and pilots of the Israel Airforce.

*  Evaluation of antiquities discovered at underwater sites (periods, functions and importance). 
*  Providing environmental impact reports, concerning underwater archaeological sites, for development projects. 
*  Examination of development project plans, and determination of necessary requirements for protecting marine antiquities. 
*  Assistance in organizing exhibitions and displays on topics of underwater antiquities. 
*  Educational activities, such as workshops for students and other groups, giving lectures and guiding field trips. 
*  Participation in international symposiums and presenting reviews on the archaeological underwater activities in Israel, and the implementation of the Antiquities Law at sea. 
*  Collaboration with other groups and associations, in the protection of state resources along the coastal margins of Israel. 
*  Assistance in the preparation of regional and state master plans in aspects that concern underwater antiquities. * Guidance and counseling for MA students at the Universities of Haifa, Tel-Aviv,Bar Ilan and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
