Object's Name: Fragment Tile Gold Glass
Period: Byzantine

Site: Trig. point 819-A (west)
Description: A glass tile made of two layers of glass with a gold leaf between. It was produced by sand casting the lower layer which is about 5-7 millimeters thick. The gold leaf was added and the thin upper layer was free blown. These tiles are dated between the 6th and the 8th centuries.
