Description: Cotton warp Ikat. The fabric is warp-faced, with the weft barely visible. The warp Ikat threads are colored blue, brown and tan. Eight cotton warp ikat from Nahal 'Omer costitute the earliest occurence of this type of textile anywhere in the world. Z-spun, originated from India or Yemen.
